About Father Henry Carr Catholic Secondary School

Founded in 1974 by the Basilian Fathers, Father Henry Carr Catholic Secondary School is a co-educational, semestered school located in northwest Etobicoke. The area is a residential neighbourhood with a Catholic Elementary School (St. Dorothy), a hospital (Etobicoke General), and a community college (Humber College) in close proximity. The housing around our school includes individual dwellings and town-homes. Our school has a longstanding partnership with St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, the parish church. School facilities consist of a newly-renovated, air-conditioned building which features a new leadership centre, dramatic arts studio, ME/DD room, and cafetorium. All students in the TCDSB may apply to the Congregated Pre-AP/AP Program at Father Henry Carr.

Father Henry Carr Catholic Secondary School is located in West Humber-Clairville

The town of Clairville was established in 1850 at the intersection of Albion Road and Steeles. It was built on a land owned by Jean du Petit Pont de la Haye, who developed the community on his estate which he named after his daughter Claire. Clairville was divided between municipalities and the portion west of Indian Road and Highway 427 is today in Brampton. The area is home to a large industrial and commercial area known as Highfield and a residential area called West Humber Estates which contains primarily single-family detached homes.
