A History of Excellence
Headwater Hills Montessori School (HHMS) is part of a collective of sister schools providing child-centred education to thousands of children in the Greater Toronto Area over the past 40 years. HHMS is located in Caledon, Ontario, just south of Orangeville. We are the only Montessori school in the Orangeville area that is accredited by the Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators (CCMA), the best assurance of an authentic Montessori education. Our classrooms have the mixed age groups and full complement of Montessori learning materials that are fundamental to this way of teaching. Our teachers are Montessori trained and MACTE accredited. They are kind, highly experienced mentors who know how to optimally challenge each child to rise to their personal best. Our children feel safe, nurtured and free to express their very best selves. HHMS is a welcoming and diverse community where every child is treated like family!
Our programs help children learn and excel in an environment that's perfectly suited to their individual needs. We help your child build the self-confidence and independent thinking that is so crucial in today's world. Your child's academic, social, and emotional development are very important to us. We believe that learning needs to be a joyful adventure!
Why Montessori?
Montessori is an individualized approach to education that helps each child reach their full potential. It is a student-centered approach that encourages creativity and curiosity and leads children to ask questions, explore, investigate and think for themselves. Montessori students develop creativity and confidence, critical thinking and problem solving skills, and a positive, collaborative attitude - all key attributes needed for lifelong satisfaction and success.
