Waverley Drive P.S. is home to a dynamic and diverse student population! We are a JK-8 school with 475 students, over 45 teaching and support staff as well as our office and custodial staff. We are located in the North East end of the city and our school yard shares space with Waverley Park. In addition to our regular track classes, Waverley Drive has 2 Full Day Kindergarten classes with a teacher and ECE in each. We are home to the Grade 4-8 Gifted Program as well as a Junior and Intermediate Special Education class for students identified with a Mild Intellectual Disability.
Waverly is a large, mostly residential neighbourhood in north-east Guelph, bordered by Eramosa Road, Victoria Road North, and the Speed River. The southern part of Waverly is across the river from downtown Guelph, while the northern part is bordered by parkland, forests, and farmland. Guelph General Hospital is in Waverley, and there are commercial areas along Eramosa Road, Victoria Road North, and Speedvale Avenue. The rest of the neighbourhood is composed of a mix of housing types.
