Nurturing positive self esteem in a cooperative learning environment.
Our school is an exciting place to learn and be involved. The success of our students rests largely on the positive relationships between parents and school staff. Our hope is that parents will do their utmost to stay interested and involved in their children’s learning. We look forward to continuing to work closely with Harrison families. At Harrison, we believe in a positive atmosphere that staff, students and parents work together to create a positive climate that is inclusive, safe, caring and equitable.
Consideration. Caring. Citizenship. Courage. Common Sense.
The culture of Harrison School promotes values that create an atmosphere of trust, respect and understanding of each other and our families. Taking time to recognize children who are “using their 5Cs” is an ongoing event at Harrison. The “Caring Tree” is found on the wall across from the office. It is used to display student’s names submitted for having demonstrated 5Cs behaviour. Each month we hold a “5Cs Assembly” to discuss issues of importance in and around the school and to recognize individuals and classes for using the 5Cs. We encourage you to talk about the 5Cs at home as well.
