Our vision statement is, “At Sherwood Mills Public School, we will grow and develop as an inclusive learning community.” High expectations for all students in their academic achievements and conduct will be upheld. Students will develop their critical thinking skills and creativity, becoming confident lifelong learners and problem solvers. As respectful and responsible citizens of our school community, students will appreciate and celebrate the diversity within our Canadian mosaic. Teacher practice will continue to be guided by research, ongoing professional development and the teaching and learning critical pathway.

We have an excellent arts program, including integrated, drama, dance, visual arts and music; annual productions and character attribute assemblies. We strive as a school to guide students to discover their own creativity, where students are encouraged to express and demonstrate what they have learned through a variety of artistic channels including drama, creative movements and dance or by utilizing a varied selection of art media

Sherwood Mills has been a Diamond Penant Award winner from 2005-2011, as well as being a CIRA Award winner. We enjoy competitive school teams, inclusive intramurals and participate in Fitness Friends.
