Our School
History
Stonehaven Elementary School is located on Stonehaven Avenue in Newmarket.
Our school motto is...Pride in Self, Pride in School, and Pride in Community.
Our school emblem is Stonehaven Stars and the house leagues consist of the Shark, Lizard, Scorpion, Storm, Barracuda and Stinger.
Facilities
Stonehaven E.S. is a two-storied fully wheel-chair accessible building that was opened in 1997. The school facility includes: 4 kindergarten rooms, 26 regular classrooms, 3 special education rooms, library, gymnasium, music room, science room, art room, 5 computer pods, and a before and after school program.
Programs and Activities
As with each school in the York Region District School Board, Stonehaven Elementary School supports student learning through the curriculum standards set out by the Ontario Ministry of Education, and many other co-curricular activities. Our school:
