Oshawa Schools
Windfields

In this School Guide, you'll find out more about the schools children in this neighbourhood can attend, including public, Catholic, and private schools.

The Windfields neighbourhood is a new, sought-after area in northwest Oshawa, located on land that was once Windfields Farms, a well-known thoroughbred horse breeding farm that has now closed. Street names in this neighbourhood's housing developments are named for the farm's finest thoroughbreds. Some of the area is still farmland and undeveloped lands. The University of Ontario Institute of Technology and Durham College are just south of Windfields, and have some facilities and own property in the area. Housing developments in Windfields are new (2000s) and are upscale, large 2-storey homes. Development is ongoing, including a school. Windfields is close to golf courses and conservation areas, and is bordered by two waterways.
