Gateway Drive Public is dual track (K to 8 English, K-3 French) school located in the West End in Guelph. Gateway Drive School is a middle sized school with a population of approximately 300 students. The school was originally built in 1980 as a K to Gr. 6, but renovated to create a beautiful K to Gr. 8 school with no portables. The majority of our students walk to school with the exception of approximately 100 students who are bused. Gateway is proud of the many engaging programs offered. Staff and students alike appreciate state of the art educational technology that is available including: mounted flat screen TV’s, Smart Boards, data projectors coupled with Chromebooks, document cameras and monthly celebration slide shows highlighting students working and having fun.
Parkwood Gardens is a mostly residential neighbourhood in southwest Guelph. Most of the homes are single-family, with a couple of townhouse complexes. Residents have easy access to both Hanlon Parkway and Highway 7/Wellington Street West.
