Uchenna Academy is a Ministry of Education Inspected School located in Toronto’s Corso Italia and Dovercourt districts. We prepare students in grades 7-12 for post-secondary studies through a multifaceted approach to learning that includes both an academics and athletics focus.

Uchenna Academy teachers and coaches utilize a highly individualized instructional approach that is tailored to each student or student-athlete in our care. This includes small classes of less than 10 students, one-on-one instruction as required and an ability to pivot to online learning when necessary.

Our curriculum is a Co-Ed academic STEAM based learning format and we combine academics with sport for development for our students.

Uchenna Academy sports program, which includes Development and Prep School is open to students of diverse ethnicities, religion, gender, and ability, in grades 7-12. We offer in-person, online and hybrid learning models. These learning models offer Uchenna Academy High School students flexible avenues towards earning their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).

We also offer a fifth year or Post Graduate option for those seeking an additional year after completing high school to refine their academics, prep for SATs and/or further their recruitment process.

In partnership with the BallMatics Academy, our Prep School specializes in providing student-athletes from the Greater Toronto Area, Canada and the world with outstanding educational, athletic training and exposure opportunities in the competitive Prep Basketball environment.

In our athletic program, student-athletes in grades 7 to 12 and Post Grad. train for a minimum 3-5 hours per day. This rigorous training and academic regimen, prepares students for our competitive game schedule. Many of our games are played in elite showcase events in Canada and the United States.

Our blended learning model allows student-athletes to study while competing and never missing a class due to travel.
