AP courses that will be offered at CTA include Calculus, Chemistry, English, Psychology, Studio Art and 2D Digital Art. These senior courses dovetail with the Pre-Advanced Placement courses and provide an enriching experience.

Student Life - Where You Belong
Experiential learning is a way of life at Central Toronto Academy. With dynamic exclusive workshops with industry professionals such as Sully Wong, RBC, UofT and many more, our students get to "experience" their education first hand rather than just reading it out of books. The experience doesn't end with the programs either. CTA has an Administrative staff that is so involved with the student body, that it is common place to see them participating in classroom activities and workshops on a daily basis or even dancing and singing on stage along with the students at assemblies and dances. At CTA, we truly are a close, supportive, community.
What Sets Us Apart
CTA is a special place – something you will feel as soon as you walk through the front door of our building where you see student artwork and other displays informing you about the many different accomplishments of our students. At CTA we are committed to developing 21st Century learners who contribute in a socially responsible and innovative way to the global community. Each student is encouraged and supported to achieve his/her highest individual potential – academically, personally and physically – and to develop confidence and leadership skills. Central Toronto Academy (CTA) is a diverse learning community that promotes mutual respect among students and staff built on empathy and equity. Our vision is to empower students to reach their full potential through a supportive and caring environment, enriched programming and excellence in academics. We are a culturally responsive and environmentally aware school, embedding leadership in social justice, and global citizenship.
Parent and Community Engagement
Central Toronto Academy engages its parent community through our Parent Newsletter, Parent Council, and email list. CTA's SHSM focus in Business Social Entrepreneurship has developed important community partnerships with the following organisations in Arts and Culture: Bikes Without Borders, Walnut Studios, Cinderbloc Studios, Global Warming Tees, AGO, Peach Beserk, Spud Bomb Crew, Manifesto, Sully Wong, Kensington Art Academy, David Brown, Exhibit Change, Nicky Johnson, Lockpicker Productions, etc. Team Unbreakable and participation in OFSAA 'Try-Day' round off some of the experiential learning students receive here at CTA.
