About The Waterfront School

Our school serves the community bounded by York Street on the east, Stadium Road on the west between Lakeshore Blvd and Queens Quay West. We are a diverse population including grades from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. Ours is an inclusive approach to education and schooling, for which we have received recognition from the Toronto Community Living Association and the Director of Education of Canada's largest school board.

The Waterfront School is located in Waterfront Communities - The Islands

Toronto's harbour has been used since the founding of Toronto for shipping and industrial purposes. It is a waterfront community rich in heritage buildings, including the Canada Malting Silos site, the Crosse and Blackwell building at the southeast corner of Lake Shore Boulevard West and Bathurst Street, and the Tip Top Tailor building on the southwest corner of Lake Shore Boulevard West and Stadium Road. Comprising the only group of islands in the western part of Lake Ontario, the Toronto Islands are located just offshore from the city centre, and provide shelter for Toronto Harbour. This neighbourhood contains the condo-dense area known as Cityplace in addition to parts of the Fashion District and Corktown.
