About Voice Integrative School

Voice Integrative School was founded in 2000 to break new ground with global education and to take it beyond the classroom on a school-wide level. It is a non-denominational, co-ed academic school for grades 1-8, with a charitable arm. It is also a teacher education research school and practicum site for various Faculties of Education. VIS fosters a strong sense of belonging and offers a rigorous academic program based on Ontario Curriculum expectations and beyond. A strong performing and liberal arts curriculum, as well as dynamic sports options, are integral to the well-rounded (global) education model offered at VIS.

Voice Integrative School is located in Waterfront Communities - The Islands

Toronto's harbour has been used since the founding of Toronto for shipping and industrial purposes. It is a waterfront community rich in heritage buildings, including the Canada Malting Silos site, the Crosse and Blackwell building at the southeast corner of Lake Shore Boulevard West and Bathurst Street, and the Tip Top Tailor building on the southwest corner of Lake Shore Boulevard West and Stadium Road. Comprising the only group of islands in the western part of Lake Ontario, the Toronto Islands are located just offshore from the city centre, and provide shelter for Toronto Harbour. This neighbourhood contains the condo-dense area known as Cityplace in addition to parts of the Fashion District and Corktown.
